Card of the Day: SOUTHERN CROSS – PATHFINDER

(Courtesy of Dreamtime Reading Cards by Laura Bowen)

If you’re not familiar with the Southern Cross, it is a constellation in the night sky in the Southern Hemisphere. It does look like a symbol of a cross for example found in Christianity.

Indigenous Australians for many thousands of years have used the stars to navigate and learn how to find their way back home when there were travelling or walkabout, or hunting. This skill was taught at a very young age and passed on from their Aboriginal elders from generation to generation.

Why was this so important? It was a life and vital lesson skill necessary to help each man, woman and child find their own tribes or communities. Navigation wasn’t only just by Indigenous Australian astrology, but also by communicating deeply with the Australian native plants, animals and wildlife.

This card is a message to reminder you that we are all seek our own unique path. We are all meant to find our own path – especially to find our own path home. Home is where the heart is, and we need to remember to always come from a place of love, compassion and strength within ourselves.

This is also a message to also keep on striving to keep on going towards the things that we are passionate and love about. Why be in a job or a career that you hate if you aren’t motivated or passionate about? Why not find a path towards a job or career that you are motivated and inspired to do?

If you really love someone, tell them. Don’t waste any time by not saying a word. A path towards any type of happiness, there may have a chance of heartache, but how will you know until you try to walk that path?

Yes, it is difficult not to know what is ahead of us, but by trusting and having faith that our destination, our home is just within reach, makes life more fulfilling; to learn and enjoy every footprint we leave on our own unique path.

Keep the faith xoxo

Card of the Day: YIN AND YANG

(Courtesy of GAIA ORACLE by Toni Carmine Salerno)

Affirmation:
I love and accept all that I am
There is nothing to change,
there is only love
Every aspect of me
Serves me and others in some way
I create health, wealth and harmony
by loving what is
All I accept and love
transforms into greater love

Yin and Yang are the Divine Feminine and Masculine energies that preside within our being. We need these beautiful and powerful energies to feel as sense of balance, harmony and tranquility in our being as human beings. Whether you’re a man or a woman, or if you identify as either a man or woman – we all have these Divine energies within our soul.

This card is a reminder that perhaps currently you are experiencing some disharmony in some aspect of your life due to a refusal to accept certain aspects of your unique personality. Nothing about you is bad. Perhaps there are traits within your personality, your talents or qualities are something that you are yet to discover.

You may need to learn to accept self-love, self-kindness, or have more confidence. For each person it will be different. For anything you feel, think or perceive that you are lacking about yourself; you actually have within yourself.

For every strength you have in your being, you also have a weakness. We all have weaknesses. But, merely our weaknesses, balance out our strengths. We need to always have harmony since we are all spiritual beings of Divinity.

Nothing is neither good nor bad. It is, just is. We need not to compete, but merely support one another.

To find love is to accept both our flaws and our successes. We need to learn to accept our whole selves – our wholistic being.

Allow the beautiful energies of both Yin and Yang to bring you love and confidence to your soul.

Namaste xo

Native Wisdom for today: LEARNINGS

(Courtesy of the Native Wisdom for White Minds: Daily Reflections Inspired by the Native Peoples of the World by Anne Wilson Schaef)

Wisdom for the day of: Monday, May 28, 2018:

A bad thing usually costs a lot.
– A Maori Proverb

Sometimes we think we can ‘get away with” things in life. Our complex culture tacitly condemns dishonest, theft and personal and corporate immortality. Yet complexity breeds more dishonesty, making it somehow okay, at some level, to get away with it more. But do we get away with anything? Aren’t we the ones that really count? Even we manage to hide our misdeed some others we can’t hide them from ourselves.

The Maori know that the major factor in doing a “bad” thing is what it done to us. Only when we make amends for whatever we think we’ve gotten away with we can truly heal and be truly free.

Sometimes we have to pay a very high tuition for our learnings.

Daily Reflections Inspired by the Native People of the World

By Anne Wilson Schaef

For April 28th:  CONQUEST

“Closed packed sounds, intimate and urgent, pattered against the foot of the hill. It was the arrival of the cattle and the first rush of the fugitives. Tirconaill was in the smithereens. The noises in the night were of tumbling of civilization. The smoke shrouded more than the sky; it was the dead-clothes of a nation. The fires were not merely making ashes of homes, they were making cinders of a people, tomorrow would be sapless as the chores. Tirconaill was no more. Out there in the East careen the victors.”

– Peadar O’Donnell, Irish Writer

Rarely have I read such a eloquent description of a people and culture. How fiercely the Irish hold the concept of freedom and how vocal they are about the attempts to destroys their culture. Tribal people the world over identify with such attempts to have their culture destroyed.

The Celts, as Daniel Martin said, “adopt rather than colonized, absorbed rather than imposed.”

Jesus said, “The meek shall inherit the earth.” Does ‘the meek’ mean people who live with indigenous wisdom?

Card of the Day: THE EMPEROR

(Courtesy of Animal Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue & Radleigh Valentine)

Deer Mouse: Focusing on the details. Being pragmatic. Thinking of the future. Keeping everything “just so”. Providing constructive feedback in a kind manner.

The Deer Mouse calls you to think constructively about your plans, about your future. When he can see that you are motivated, driven and excited about what is ahead of you, consider all outcomes is vital!

This kindhearted and compassionate mouse truly wants the best outcome for you. Don’t be fooled by his small statured, for this totem animal is also extremely wise. Even the best well intended, and well thought out plans can have some chaos in them.

Consider to reflect and careful think through all your plans – both short term and long term. But don’t overanalyze. Simply focus on the SMART…..plans:

Specific – are your goals specific? Is this goal simple? You could write down your goal or have a vision board or journal.
Measureable are your goals manageable? You may need to break down your goals further to help balance your work/home/life. Does this goal help bring meaning and motivation to my life?
Achievable –  are your goals achievable?  Can you attain this goal, are you motivated in achieving this?
Realistic – are your realistic? Are they relevant to your values and your own personal and professional life journey.
Time –
can you complete your goals in a suitable timeframe? This refers to time-bound goals.  Some examples are: In 1 month I will…..; In 8 months, I will, In 12 months, I will….”

The Emperor Card also helps us to get organized of any tasks, projects or opportunities that we will to fulfill. The energy of this card in traditional tarot is that of an authority figure, so in many ways, it is about taking action, making sure of our deepest and strongest desires.

The Deer Mouse is always thinking ahead and collects all that he needs step-by-step especially what he needs for his future, particularly for the winter, due to hibernation.

Either long or short term goals, it is always good to stay prepared and ready. But more than this, you will always be certain to have that motivation, that aspiration and that inspiration to keep on going towards your dreams.

Never give up, you were born for this!! Success is waiting for you!!!

Love Libby xo

Card of the Day: ROSE – ATTRACT A RELATIONSHIP

(Courtesy of The Secret Language of Color Cards by Inna Segal)

Rose is a color of romance, deep love and affection. It assists in opening the heart in attracting a healthy and soulful relationship. The color Rose is also excellent to help to raise your self-esteem, and to help with any form of loneliness or  sadness. It is also great to release worry or stress.

We all have many relationships or friendships in our lives. We all attract those whom we want in our lives. Relationships come in many different forms: platonic, friendships, family relations, furry babies, and acquaintances.

If you are seeking that special someone – that one person whom you want to have a healthy, soulful, and kindred relationship with, you need to ask yourself, if you are truly ready to have such a person in your life.  If you are seeking this person – remember that the color Rose can help you attract this person. Remember that real love  and true love, takes time, effort and understanding. It takes a while, and sometimes months or years to really know a person.  Unfortunately, it isn’t like the movies, or music, sadly.

True love, and real love, if you are lucky to find it – does exist. Sometimes you love this person, sometimes you don’t. But you love this person wholeheartedly – you see them at their best, and at their worst. Real love means that you find a sustainable soul that you can share your life with; your ups and downs;your joyous and happiest moments; your disappointments; and your fondest moments.

Like a Rose, while it may contain prickly thorns that could hurt you, try and see the beauty of love. There is much beauty in the eye of the beholder in a relationship in love.

Love is all around us. Be open to love.

Love will always bring two beautiful souls together.

With love and blessings,

Libby

For April 17th:  WALKING WITH THE WAKAN-TANKA

“Remember and think about the closeness of the Wakan-Tanka (The Great Spirit, or the Creator) if they believe in this wisdom, it will give them endless strength and hope. “

 – Frank Fools Crow
Lakota Chief and Spiritual Leader, American Indian

Frank Fools Crows was one of the clearest and most powerful people I have ever known. Never was I in the presence of anyone who was consistently walked so close to  the Wakan-Tanka. His entire life was devoted to treading the spiritual path and healing those who came to him. Just being in his presence was a source of strength and healing, and he shared his knowledge and wisdom with all who came. He never discriminated.

For Fools Crow, Waken-Tanka, was not an abstraction Wakan-Tanka was a friend, an adviser, an expert, a physician, a colleague and a constant companion. Wakan-Tanka was a sponsor and a mentor,. Wakan-Tanka was a boss, always, and one only had to walk the path of the Wakan-Tanka and consult with Wakan-Tanka in all one’s affairs. And Frank Fools Crow did.

Wakan-Tanka is not an abstraction of our lives. Wakan-Tanka is our lives.

Located in the center of the chest, however it should be noted that the this energy center is not located where our actual heart organ lies, rather, the heart chakra is in the center of the chest area. Drawing from feeling and expressing love for ourselves and for others in the many different forms of love, (whether romantic, platonic or family love) the heart chakra plays a vital role in learning more about ourselves and what we value.

Air is oxygen of which we breathe, we are therefore connected to all living things, and we are connected to all life. Please note that the heart chakra connects the lower and upper chakras together. Third Eye Chakra / Ajna

Element associated with Chakra: Light
6th chakra  in the 7 chakra system – — forehead, just above area between the eyes

The third eye chakra also known as Ajna in Sanskrit which means “perceiving” or “command” can be found between your two physical eyes on your forehead and near the eyebrow,  giving you the power to see with openness and Divine perception of your intuition. This chakra is also known as the ‘supreme element’ as it gives all of us, as we are all have the natural ability to seek our own truth, through our third eye, by using our imagination – and hence by seeing everything in its purest form. Therefore, the third eye, awakes you  of your inner being, and of your Divine truth.

The key functions or characteristics of this chakra are:

  • Vision
  • Intuition
  • Perception of subtle dimensions and movements of energy
  • Psychic abilities related to clairvoyance and clairaudience especially
  • Access to mystical states, illumination
  • Connection to wisdom, insight
  • Motivates inspiration and creativity

Briefly in Yogi metaphysics, deeply within our own unique subconscious, the third eye or Ajna chakra carries our personal duality with our own unique “I” consciousness. It carries the duality between us and the divine, since we are all connected to the Divine. Nevertheless, you can separate personally from the “I” consciousness – and therefore be about to transcend to other dimensions, without the use of time or space, using the other five elements or chakras.

In other words, it’s about reaching yet another state of consciousness or super-consciousness, that exists independently from the rest of anything else. Granted, it does take time, patience and understanding.

Crown Chakra / Sahasrara

Colour associated with Chakra: White or Violet
Element associated with Chakra: Mind
7th chakra in the 7 chakra system – Crown of the head

The Crown chakra or Sahasrara in Sanskrit, can be translated to mean “A Thousand Petals”. Know as the spiritual connection between you the Cosmos, this powerful chakra can help you reach a state of wonder, enlightenment, and knowingness. Because it’s symbol looks like a lotus flower, you can see how spiritually, we are all evolving to be the best versions of ourselves for the highest and greatest good.

The Crown chakra opens the doors to the awareness of what we need to know. Again, we all have the ability to reach peaks of transcendence of our limitations whether that be personal, as there are no limitations of space, time or energy. We all have the ability to reach paradoxes and dimensions through a crown chakra which is the norm. As it is a wise and truthful teacher, it is always Universal and transcendent. It provides the most soul seeking lessons found deep in your subconscious.

There is a blessed and sacred union between you and the energy of the chakra. You will find a state of complete awe, bliss and spiritual ecstasy. It provides the essential wisdom of all that is, and all that will be. You will be given the upmost clarity and enlightened wisdom of what your soul needs to know – even if you are ready for it or not!

As we are all an extension of the Divine, therefore you can view the Crown chakra as a the messenger chakra. It connects you to the Universal consciousness that is linked to everything, the infinite life force energy, and to everything in existence.

The key functions or characteristics associated with this chakra are:

  • Consciousness
  • Awareness of higher consciousness, wisdom, of what is sacred
  • Connection with the formless, the limitless
  • Realization, liberation from limiting patterns
  • Communion with higher states of consciousness, with
  • Ecstasy, bliss
  • Presence

This is just a very brief look at the 7 chakras. But I’d encourage you to seek out what you believe the chakras to be. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of what a chakra is, but this is just a very short introduction to what they are.

Much love and blessings,

Libby xo
